All solid log products are graded in accordance to the Log Home Council’s guidelines guaranteeing structural integrity. Additionally you can appreciate the following features and benefits with every Kuhns Bros. solid log product:

        • Kiln Dried - All solid logs are kiln dried to an average moisture content of 19% per log.
        • Heart-cut logs - only one log is cut from the center of each tree.
        • Pre-Cut, Coded Logs - corresponding to the pre-cut drawing provided.
        • Inverted stacking - log packs are packaged in the order in which they will be used.

Solid Log Options

Kuhns Bros. Log Homes (KBLH) Premium White Pine Logs

        Available exclusively through KBLH, Premium White Pine Logs are graded according to the Log Homes Council structural guidelines as well as KBLH’s astringent aesthetic guidelines. These aesthetic guidelines are exclusive to KBLH and are designed to reduce certain visual defects that are a natural occurrence and do not affect the structural integrity of the logs. Examples of these defects include blue stain, excessive chocolate staining, knot clusters, wide checking, etc.

Country Log Cabins (CLC) Early American White Pine Logs

        Available exclusively through CLC, a division of KBLH, Early American White Pine Logs are graded according to the Log Homes Council’s structural guidelines only. All the natural aesthetic qualities that are non-structural are included in the log package. As indicated above, these defects may include blue stain, excessive chocolate staining, knot clusters, etc.
